Hey Vancouver Island! We're coming your way this week and we're bringing Team Canada!

Hey Vancouver Island! We're coming to your neck of the woods this week and we're bringing the Canadian wheelchair rugby national squad with us. On Thursday, May 7th at 7 pm, the Canadian wheelchair rugby national squad will play an exhibition match at the brand new Center for Athletics, Recreation and Special Abilities (CARSA) at the University of Victoria. It's the first game to be played at CARSA and your last chance to see Team Canada on home soil before the Toronto 2015 Parapan Am Games. Best of all, it's completely free. To learn more, click here.

After watching Team Canada, you might be inspired to try a new sport. If so, head on down to Oak Bay High School (2151 Cranmore Rd, Victoria BC) on May 8th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm to try wheelchair racing and seated throws. Following this, you can head over to the beginner wheelchair tennis program at Cedar Hills Recreation Center (3220 Cedar Hill Road) from 7 - 8 pm to try wheelchair tennis.

For those of you a little further up the Malahat, we'll be offering a wheelchair racing and seated throws Have a Go Day in Nanaimo on May 22nd from 4 - 6 pm at the Rotary Bowl Stadium (355 Wakesiah Ave, Nanaimo).

Each Have a Go session costs $10 and will include snacks and drinks. We may even have a BBQ at the Victoria Have a Go.
