Michelle Stilwell

Michelle Stilwell is a Canadian wheelchair racer and politician. She’s the only female Paralympian to boast gold in two separate summer sport events: track and wheelchair basketball. Michelle turned to wheelchair racing after complications of her disability ended her wheelchair basketball career. Now, she's a force to be reckoned, boasting the world record in the 100m, the 200m, and the 400m for athletes in the T52 class. At the London 2012 Paralympics, she won two gold medals and a silver and she recently solidified her place at the top of the pack with three gold medals at the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships. She holds a Bachelor of Science with the University of Calgary and is the MLA for Parksville-Qualicum.
