Save The Date - Junior Sport Camp Returns This Summer

BC Wheelchair Sports is excited to announce that Junior Sports Camp will return this summer. Mark your calendars and save the dates as camp will run from August 14-18 at Fraser Heights Community Centre. 

Children and youth will get the opportunity to try a range of wheelchair and parasports including Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Tennis, Wheelchair Rugby, Athletics, Boccia and more. 

GO Time - March 4, 2022

GO Time is celebrating International Women's Day a few days early this year with a special Virtual GO Time session on March 4th from 4-5:30pm. 

GO Time was created to help empower girls with physical disabilities across the province while introducing them to new sports and life skills, while also creating connections and friendships throughout our community.

This is a fun and free joint-program between BC Wheelchair Sports and BC Wheelchair Basketball. Next month's Virtual Session will include guest speakers, fun games and more. 

Wheelchair Rugby Have-A-Go Day (Richmond)

BC Wheelchair Sports is excited to announce the launch of a new Wheelchair Rugby Development Series that will include a number of additional Wheelchair Rugby Sessions at the Richmond Olympic Oval on Saturdays this Fall! 
 

The program is designed to support athlete development and enhance our existing programming to help fill the gap created by our long pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BCWSA and BCWBS Welcome Back Tour Wraps Up on Vancouver Island

The BCWSA and BCWBS Welcome Back Tour wrapped up this weekend on Vancouver Island with two final stops in Nanaimo and Victoria. 

Participants got to play a variety of sports, swap out their equipment for better-fitting chairs and get excited for the return of wheelchair sports programs this fall. 

The tour included fun-filled stops in Surrey, Abbotsford, Nanaimo and Victoria!
