GO Time - March 4, 2022

GO Time is celebrating International Women's Day a few days early this year with a special Virtual GO Time session on March 4th from 4-5:30pm. 

GO Time was created to help empower girls with physical disabilities across the province while introducing them to new sports and life skills, while also creating connections and friendships throughout our community.

This is a fun and free joint-program between BC Wheelchair Sports and BC Wheelchair Basketball. Next month's Virtual Session will include guest speakers, fun games and more.

2021 BC Wheelchair Tennis Provincial Team

BC Wheelchair Sports Association is pleased to announce the members of the BC Provincial Wheelchair Tennis Program for the 2021 Season.  Selection to the program was determined based on an athlete’s potential to represent BC at national and international levels of competition, demonstrated commitment to training, and ongoing development and improvement. We are excited about the upcoming season and the future of our players

Have A Go At Wheelchair Tennis in the Fraser Valley

BC Wheelchair Sports has exciting news! Wheelchair tennis is coming to the Fraser Valley with a free Have-A-Go Day on October 13th at the Great West Fitness and Tennis Club in Abbotsford. 

The Have-A-Go Day will be a kick off to our brand new Fraser Valley Wheelchair Tennis Program beginning Saturday October 27th and running until Saturday December 8th at the same facility. Lessons will be run by Steve Manley – BCWSA’s Provincial Team Coach – alongside a coach from Great West and athlete Barry Henderson.

The Canada Cup Seeks Volunteers

The countdown is on to the 2016 Canada Cup International Wheelchair Rugby Tournament and we're looking for volunteers! Every two years, BCWSA welcomes the top teams in the world to the Richmond Olympic Oval for four intense days of competition. This year's Canada Cup promises to be our most exciting event to date. Team Canada is currently ranked #1 for the first time in 13 years and is looking for its first Canada Cup victory. Come take part in the action!

BCWSA and SCI BC Hiring an Okanagan Program Coordinator

Spinal Cord Injury BC (SCI BC) and BC Wheelchair Sports Association (BCWSA) are recruiting for a shared Program Coordinator for the Okanagan Region. This is a part-time position (26.5 hrs/wk) to be located in Kelowna or potentially a home based office. SCI BC is dedicated to helping people with spinal cord injuries or related disabilities and their families adjust, adapt and thrive in communities throughout our province. 

BCWSA provides exceptional wheelchair sport programs and services that promote active living and the pursuit of excellence.
