Team BC had an amazing showing at the ITF3 Indian Wells Wheelchair Tennis Tournament. Seven BC athletes and Coach Kai traveled to San Diego to train, compete and escape the BC winter rain. Congratulations to all of the athletes!

Our new junior high-performance team (aka Team T(h)omas) carved up the court against their American counterparts. Rookie sensation Thomas Venos won the Men’s C Singles and Doubles event, though he has been playing less than six months. Tomas Bourassa played in the Junior Singles final, losing to Connor Stroud.

Mika Ishikawa made it to her second straight Quad Singles final and lost to Bryan Barten.

Great work, Team BC! If this is how well you do in the off-season, we can’t wait for tennis to begin again!
