BCWSA Athletics athletes Tiana Hesmert, Daryl Yuen and Paulo Guerrero will be suiting up for Team BC at the 2023 Bell Canadian Track and Field Championships at Langley’s McLeod Athletic Park from July 27-30.

Daryl Yuen (Vancouver) makes his return to Team BC after a short hiatus and will be competing in three throwing disciplines (shot put, discus and javelin).

Paulo Guerrero (North Vancouver) will be competing in his second nationals and build upon a strong season in which he’s posted improving times and also raced in several road races. Paolo will be racing the 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m races over the course of the weekend.

Tiana Hesmert (Richmond) will compete in both racing and throws. The multi-sport athlete will throw shot put and discus, plus race in the 100m, 200m and 400m. 2023 marks Tiana’s second Nationals in Track and Field.

The 3 BCWSA athletes are part of the large Team BC delegation alongside BC Athletics able-bodied and para-ambulatory athletes. You can view the complete team roster here.
