In the wake of Nationals Coaching Week, BC Wheelchair Sports Association and BC Athletics are hosting a Club Coach NCCP Technical Course for Wheelchair Racing and Para Throws. The course will run for 9 hours on October 1st & 2nd at the Oak Bay Secondary School Track in Victoria, BC and will include a Fundamental Wheelchair Movement Skills workshop (via the Run, Jump, Throw Wheel & the Let’s Play program) in which you’ll work with a variety of athletes with disabilities.
With the support of the Province of BC and viaSport, the course is only $20 and would be a great stepping stone for participants to become a trained athletics coach in this events group. This is a unique and rate opportunity for participants to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience on working with athletes with a disability.
