massive-dev | April 7, 2017
On April 27th, we’re hosting a aboriginal Have-A-Go Day right in Vancouver. Try different sports including wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, and athletics. The session will be led by BCWSA staff and peer mentors, including renowned First Nations Paralympian Richard Peter. Everyone is welcome; you don’t need a disability to try!
Before the event, sport and recreation leaders are encouraged to join us for an information session to learn more about BC Wheelchair Sports and the Bridging the Gap program. We’ll discuss ways we can help support the development of wheelchair sport in the community. Peter Natrall (Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council) will also be on hand to provide information on ISPARC’s role in developing and supporting long term athlete development.

The event is hosted in collaboration with BC Wheelchair Basketball Society, Access Services, and Britannia Community Centre. Check ’em out.
