massive-dev | May 20, 2016
The Kamloops Legacy Games will be back in town from July 22nd through the 24th. Created from legacy funds generated by the Kamloops Western Canada Summer Games in 2011, the multi-sport tournament is intended to serve high performance athletes looking to prepare for national and international competition.
Rugby
BC will be entering two wheelchair rugby teams into the Div-2 tournament; if you’re interested in playing, you can submit your availability here. Transportation, registration, and lunch at the venue are included in a $50 registration fee that will include flights for eligible players.
Handy-Dart airport transportation for athletes arriving on the 20th (and departing on the 24th or 25th) will also be available.
Tennis
The Legacy Games are part of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tour and will feature both local and international athletes. Many of these players will be looking to use the tournament in preparations for the Paralympic Games. You can check out the fact sheet for the event here, watch last year’s event video here, and register here! Sign up now!
