We did it! Thanks to our amazing community members, we can replace Barney!

Thanks to our amazing community members, we have raised $1600 to replace Barney the little purple wheelchair! The previous wheelchair lasted eighteen years and we hope that the new one will spend another eighteen years helping people with disabilities lead active, healthy lives through wheelchair sports.
Thank you to everyone who donated, shared our content on social media, and told us your stories of how Barney impacted your life. It was great to hear from some old faces and to hear your stories of how wheelchair sport participation changed your lives.
2016 is going to be a big year for us. Not only will we host both the 2016 Canada Cup International Wheelchair Rugby Tournament and the 2016 Vancouver International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, but we’ll also be cheering loud and proud as our athletes head to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. We will also continue to host a wide range of programs for beginning, junior, recreational or intermediate athletes, so now is the perfect time to try a new sport or take up an old one.
