Canadian Juniors Win Against Netherlands, Qualify for the Semi-Finals

Canada’s juniors are on a roll! Thomas Venos, Tomas Bourassa and Puisand Lai beat a team from the Netherlands today 3-0. They have now qualified for the semi-finals.
“We are excited to be heading into the semi-finals for our first time as a World Tennis Cup team,” said Coach Steve Manley. “Tomorrow, we face off against the defending champions — the USA — to determine first place in our pool. Looking forward to another great day of tennis!”
Canada’s quad athletes opened their competition by going down 2-1 against the team from Great Britain. Gary Luker and Rob Shaw won their doubles match 7-5, 6-1.
Tomorrow, the juniors play the USA not before 2 pm. Canada’s quad team takes on Japan at 9:30 am.
