It’s almost time for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, and we’re excited to cheer on our local athletes as they go for gold! If all of this Paralympic excitement has you dreaming of your own sport highlight reel, you’re in luck. To kick off the upcoming Paralympic Games, BC Wheelchair Sports will be holding a multi-sport Have a Go Day on August 30th from 3:00 – 4:30pm at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre (4255 Laurel Street, Vancouver).
This Have a Go Day is a free opportunity to try wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis. All equipment, including sports wheelchairs, will be provided. Better yet, all sessions will be run by past and current Paralympians like Trevor Hirschfield and Marni Abbott-Peter.
To reserve your spot, contact Lisa Myers at lisa@bcwheelchairsports.com or 604-333-3520 ext. 209.
