Spring Wheelchair Athletics ‘Mega Clinic’ A Success!

Our Spring Wheelchair Athletics clinic, deemed the “Mega Clinic” around the BCWSA office, saw athletes and coaches from all ages and experience levels participating in wheelchair racing and seated throws. Thanks to support from viaSport, Coaches Association of Canada, and the Investors Group, we were able to provide coach education opportunities and a wheel workshop in partnership with BC Athletics and BCWBS’ Let’s Play Program to over 17 coaches, therapists, and instructors. What a great event to kick off the outdoor track and field season!
Missed our Spring Clinic and want to give wheelchair racing or seated throws a try? BCWSA’s wheelchair athletics practices have started and will continue until the end of August, with the 3rd Annual Push Push Put Put Track Meet on August 23rd.

Tuesday Practices
Location: Holy Cross Regional High School, 16193 88 Ave, Surrey BC
Dates: April 26th until August 23rd
Time: 4:00 – 6:00pm
Thursday Practices
Location: Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School, 7055 Heather St, Vancouver BC
Dates: April 28th until August 18th
Time: 5:30 – 7:30pm
